Crop Coordinators_Introduction

Page history last edited by Ruth 5 years, 11 months ago

What does a crop coordinator do?

  • Keeps track of the varieties that are being maintained in the group; updates as necessary

  • Keeps track of which varieties are doing well for our growers (production, storage, etc.)
  • Looks for gaps in the group inventory within their category

  • Searches out or keeps an eye out for varieties to add

  • Makes suggestions to members who are considering growing the crop for seed or food
  • Helps members with questions they are having trouble answering on their own

  • Maintains a list of helpful resources

How do group members use or help the crop coordinators?

  • Inform the coordinator of changes in your seed inventory in their category

  • Contact coordinator when you find interesting information, news, etc. about their category

  • Ask for help if you are stuck with a problem or question after researching on your own

  • Tell the coordinator about any interesting varieties you have discovered
